Raw materials for this product comes from those parts of the logs that don’t meet Horizon’s needs in creating flitches. With their “waste not, want not” attitude, Horizon uses these parts of the wood to create a good quality lumber product. After being cut to NHLA standards this material is graded by individuals who have gone through the rigorous training and testing of NHLA lumber grading school. Again, for the more artistic applications, these pieces are sequenced for consistency of color and pattern.
